This website has been developed to provide accurate, easy to use, reliable and justifiable data in regards to gambling and problem gambling across Australia and its states and territories.

The aim of providing this data is to enable community organisations and other interested groups and individuals to base their understanding and actions on the best information available, and provide it in an easy to use form on one simple site. This site bases it’s discernment of the best data on it’s reliability, justifiability, and statistical accuracy, not on its advocacy potential or any preconceived outcomes.

The data has been broken down into a number of sections, and wherever possible, references to the material used has been provided. In addition, any precautions in regards to the use of the information has been provided where necessary.

If you are aware of:

  • any information which you would find useful and is currently missing from this site,
  • any data which you believe supersedes or is more accurate than what is currently presented on this site, or
  • an issue with any of the information or the manner in which it is presented,

please provide feedback through the comments section of that data item.

The quality and reliability of this data relies on your comments and feedback, so we greatly appreciate it.

This dataset has been developed as a joint project between Gambler’s Help Services and The Salvation Army (Southern Territory).
